Written by Rear Admiral Braine to an unknown person (the recipient was a General with the name of James G., but the last name is illegible). Says he accepts with pleasure the invitation to General Howard's lecture at the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society on the 14th. Written on letterhead of the Commandant's Office of the New York Navy Yard. Wilson was the president of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society.
