One letter from Chas. D. Shrieves to Frances Davenport dated July 17, 1864. Says it will be impossible for her to visit the grave of her husband at the present time. Informs her that is the army ever occupies Fredericksburg or the vicinity then she will be able to visit the locality. He gives her rough directions to the grave site.
