Writes to his brother from home, possibly Kingston, Ohio, detailing that they recently hosted a "Political meeting" at their house. Tells him that "Old Chaplain Shaffer made a slang and Bullyragging speech denounced every one in bitter terms did not exactly agree with and stirred up the people to anger so that they came near taking out some Democrats and if the crowd had done so there would have been a big fuss... "
