Reports on nearby Union movements, and a reported advance "upon the Independence road, between Independence & Colemansville." Addressed to "Genl," most likely for Braxton Bragg since he was in charge of the Kentucky campaign, and because the docket mirrors those on other letters sent to Bragg.
