Three-quarter length seated portrait of a middle-aged officer. Buttons and epaulets painted gold, pants and flag tinted with dry pigment. Soldier's hat lies on nearby table. Ruby glass. CASE: Union case with geometric pattern in center surrounded by vines. (See Clifford & Michele Krainik, Union Cases, #322.) Case thickness 2.4 cm.
