Vonnegut thanks the class for the Thanksgiving card and comments they sent him and explains that another "Mr. Bean" was the best teacher he had as a child. He includes a poem from one of his books about how the whole world is doing God's work. The poem was published in Vonnegut's book Cat's Cradle in 1963.
