"Success of General Imboden: Yankees Retreating & Burning Their Stores" includes a report from General J.D. Imboden indicating that his forces are still in pursuit of the Union army. "Skirmish Below Kingston, N.C.," excerpted from the Chronicle and Sentinel, describes the bravery of the 56th North Carolina. "The Yankee Raid in N.E. Alabama and Northwest Georgia" includes a letter from C.A. Smith, a conductor on the Rome Railroad, to C.H. Stillwell, the Superintendent of the railroad.
