Selections from the French medical manual "Précis de Bandages," first published in Paris in 1858 by Goffres. This edition was created "By Order of the Surgeon-General." Published in Richmond by Ayres & Wade. Front free endpaper is inscribed "Sr Surg WO Owen Lynchburg." Has sections for applying bandages to the head, trunk, upper extremities, and lower extremities. Contains 12 illustrated plates of how to bandage battlefield wounds, including leg and arm amputations.
