Robert mentions that forgetting Dotty will take time and lists names of several women he wants Leonard to ask to write to him. Robert notes that that his unit is having "tests and inspections for the next couple weeks. They want to see if were ready to go over [to Europe]. Forty some Generals will be here." He also recounts a visit to the dentist. He concludes his letter "Later buddy stay out of the army, it's all right if you have a steady girlfriend but there's too many wolves!"
