One letter from Ed Shank to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated May 9, 1943. Ed is hopeful on the prospect of becoming Sergeant, he is excited about the wage increase that comes with the rank but expects it to take "a couple of months" although he has been Captain for four months noting "its soon time for a promotion." He comments on a graduation banquet he is preparing, "We are having it in the State Suite of the Cornhusker Hotel. Real Class. The banquet costs $100 for 30 guys plus $50 for the liquor." Signed "Ed."
