One letter from Leonard Eugene Graeff to Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff dated July 28, 1944. He updates them on the mail he has received including two letters from them, one from Thomas William Gassert, one from June Walter and one From Dick Miller in which he mentions Dominick. He thanks his parents for the newspaper clippings he enjoys news from home. He also gives his opinion on the longevity of the war. He doesn't believe it will be over any time soon. He comments that he would be okay with the president getting reelected until the war is over at which point he should resign. He requests that they send him his watch and if they see a bracelet like his old one he would like that for his birthday. He drew a sketch on the back of the page for sizing. He reports that he is still looking for souvenirs but they are all really expensive. He also mentions in passing something that happened in San Francisco and Hawaii that was in the news.
