One letter from Les Maddow to Richard Jerome Silbiger and Dorothy Silbiger dated July 13, 1943. Les writes he is glad that Richard got the post as a clerk as that means Dorothy can live with him in Tampa. Les has been sent to Rhode Island as a part of ASTP (Army Specialized Training Program) and is learning math, physics, chemistry, English, history, geography, and military government. The best part is Rhode Island is only three and a half hours from New York, so he is able to go home nearly every weekend. This letter is written on Camp Murphy, Florida stationary, but is written in Kingston, Rhode Island.
