In addition to news from Europe and the colonies, and various advertisements and announcements, each issue touches on the controversy surrounding the Stamp Act. Issue 1918 reports on the burning in effigy of a stamp distributor in Annapolis, the attachment of a copper plate reading "Tree of Liberty" to a tree in Boston as well as a conference on the Stamp Act in that town, and resolutions against the Stamp Act in Newport and Philadelphia (p. 2-3). Issue 1919 contains extracts from various meetings and letters opposing the Stamp Act (p. 2-3). Issue 1920 reports on the resolutions of the House of Burgesses of Virginia against the Stamp Act, a message indicating stamped papers had been sent for New Hampshire and Rhode Island, and various protestations of the Stamp Act around the colonies (p. 2-3). Issue 1921 contains resolutions against the Stamp Act passed in Annapolis (p. 1) and reports on various speeches and activities resisting the act in Boston, Newport, and Philadelphia (p. 2-3). Issue 1922 contains the Annapolis House Delegates address to the governor in regard to the Stamp Act and the governor's response and news pertaining to that act from around the colonies (p. 2-3).
