Written in a secretarial hand for Bird as Lieutenant Colonel of 15th Regiment of Foot. Certifies that James Ainsworth and George Lupton, recruits from the 20th Regiment of Foot, have joined his regiment. Bird died on 4 October 1777 at the Battle of Germantown.
