The Durham County Library will host a screening of the film Slavery by Another Name at the St. Joesph Historic Foundation in Durham, North Carolina. Following the film will be a public conversation led by Dr. Adriane Lentz-Smith, Associate Professor of History and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Duke University. This event is first in the Durham County Library’s Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle public programming series.

This event is free and open to the public. Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle was made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, as part of its Bridging Cultures initiative, in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
