How to Become an Affiliate School

Thank you for your interest in the Gilder Lehrman Affiliate School program! We’re looking forward to reviewing your application. All K-12 schools are welcome to apply. Please note that if you would like your entire district to become a member, each school must apply individually.

To apply, please first speak with your principal to get his or her approval. To help with this process you can print or refer to the Letter to your principal. Once they have approved, you can complete the online application. The application takes thirty to fourty-five minutes to complete, though gathering the required demographic information may take some additional time.

Once you have submitted your application, please allow one to two weeks for approval. If you have any questions along the way, email us at affiliates@gilderlehrman.org.
