Thank you for your interest in nominating a teacher for the National History Teacher of the Year Award. After completing the short nomination form, your candidate will be nominated and you will receive a confirmation via email. All nominees will be contacted by the Institute with further instructions on submitting supporting materials. Any K–12 teacher may be nominated throughout the year.
Middle and high school teachers (grades 7–12) will be considered for the 2014 award. The deadline to nominate a school teacher is February 1, 2014. Elementary school teachers will be considered for the 2015 award.

While some nominees may teach at both the elementary (K–6) and middle/high school level (7–12), they must be selected for one category for the purposes of the award. The nominee will be asked to submit materials related to that specific grade level to complete his or her nomination.
