Thank you for considering my application. I am very thankful for the opportunity that you are providing for teachers. I hope to apply again next year because living on the west coast I have only been to a very small part of our nations history and hope to learn more.
THank you so much for considering my application. I will continue to visit your website and pursue professional development. I look forward to applying again next year.
I look forward to applying again next year. I am truly very grateful for all the experiences shared with the teachers' summer seminar. I learned so much new information regarding resources beneficial to classroom use.I am saddened that I wasn't selected, but wish the very best summer for those that were!
Thank you for considering my application. When I attended the Mount Vernon workshop, it transformed how I teach about President Washington. In April, we are having Mount Vernon day complete with costumes, keynote presentations and storytelling. We are taking our students to Washington DC and Mount Vernon afterwards. Their learning and mine will come full circle. This would not happen without the support of Gilder Lehrman.
I have one question. Is there still a chance that we are on a waiting list? If so, how will we be notified?
Thank you for your continued support of America's best and brightest teachers and students. In addition to these wonderful seminar opportunities, your organization is vital to my classroom's learning community.
Thank you for considering my application and I will apply again. I am disappointed as I had hoped to be able to share the wonderful resources with the teachers in my district.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply. I appreciate what Gilder Lehrman stands for.
I must admit I am truly disappointed to not be selected. I was priviledged to attend the Age of Lincoln at Oxford two years ago. It changed my way of thinking and added a new skill level to my teaching. I knew it was a longshot, but I'd hoped to have that opportunity again this year. I understand the competition involved and GL urge to create more alumni teachers of its sessions. I would be remiss in not wanting that experience again. Thank you for considering me again.
I like Theresa from above am curious if a waiting list exists. Would you explain the logistics if one does? Thanks
Thank you for considering my application. I believe Gilder-Lehrman's seminars are exceptional. My experience at Yale two years ago has helped my teaching in so many ways that I was looking forward to stretching myself again. If there is a waiting list, I hope you have put my name on it and if you have not, that you will do so. If a spot in any of the seminars does open, please consider me. I will definitely fill the spot! Thank you again.
Thank you for the opportuntity to apply. I truly hope to continue exploring history and passing the passion for history on to our communities.
Thank you for considering my application. If I have had the benefit of attending two amazing seminars, should I no longer apply? Thank you.
Like Julia, I had the privilege of attending at Oxford two years ago. That week represented the most stimulating academic environment imaginable. The camaraderie and content of discussions was truly engaging.
My thanks to GL for considering my application, and I plan on trying again next year! Best wishes to all who were disappointed today, and congratulations to those selected!
Thank you for providing these seminars and the opportunity for teachers like me to apply. I had been eagerly looking forward to possibly attending one. Consider me if you have an opening this summer. I will continue to apply each summer.
Disappointed to miss out on a seemingly amazing seminar. Like the Chicago Cubs... there's always next year I guess. The GL site is great though, and I will continue to explore that.
Thank you for reviewing my application. While I am disappointed not be selected, I appreciate the fact that you offer these amazing opportunities and look forward to applying next year.
I am grateful for the chance to have applied for this wonderful learning experience. Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I will try again next year.
Thank you for your consideration
Thank you for your consideration! I hope in the future I will be chosen to attend one of your seminars, that I might share with my colleagues. Thank you for the effort put into this site for teacher development as well.
I'd love to see comments from accepted teachers and what they thought was key in their selection--I continue to hear wonderful reports of the seminars--so will keep after it, hoping to one day receive a "Golden Ticket."

I honestly think perseverance helps! I was selected for one of the most popular after two previous attempts. I do suggest you contact GL after August and they will look at your past submission and make suggestions. They truly are marvelous and want as many teachers as possible to attend. They limit, limit, limit alumni teachers. Still even we hope for the "golden ticket". It really is worth continued tries.
I am disappointed, but will try again next year. Thank you for considering my application. Congratulations to all of you who were accepted. I wish you all the best.
I am also very disappointed in not being selected, after three attempts. If I might suggest, putting a lottery system in place for those who have attended in past years... Otherwise I will probably not apply again.
Thank you for your consideration. I wish safe travels and a wonderful experience to all who were selected. I will definitely contact you for feedback on my application. Having not succeeded this time, I will definitely try again!
Thank you. I look forward to applying again.
Thank you for your consideration. I really loved the Age of Jefferson last summer and would so love to do the Civil War or any other GL Summer Seminar. Maybe see you next year!
Thank you for considering my application. Seminars, such as The Road to Brown, feed my teaching soul. J.Stack/CT
I am very disappointed about your decision but Thank You for the opportunity to apply. I have been applying for the last 10 years or so and have never been selected to attend one of your seminars. Hopefully next year will be the year I will be selected.
Again Thank You for providing teachers with this wonderful resource.
I too have heard through the grapevine how stimulating and valuable Gilder Lehrman's workshops are and having never attended, I was hopeful especially given that I was willing to pay to travel from the east coast to the west coast for a chance at one of these workshops. Hopefully my name is on that waiting list or next year's "golden ticket". I would definitely like to go of someone backs out.
