Description: Titled "The Bloody Massacre perpetrated in King-Street Boston on March 5th 1770 by a party of the 29th Reg." Hand-colored, first edition. Crispus Attucks is colored in, indicating that he was an African American. The depiction of the event and a poem printed below the engraving vilifies the British Army. The casualties, described as "unhappy sufferers," are listed at the bottom.
