In partnership with the National Cemetery Administration's Veterans Legacy Program, we are pleased to a offer free professional development session in New York City on April 18, 2020.

In the morning, you will hear a content lecture by an eminent historian. In the afternoon, you will dive into pedagogy and integrated literacy strategies with one of our Master Teachers, followed by tours and educational activities at Cypress Hills National Cemetery.

Free breakfast, lunch, and classroom materials will be provided. In addition, two-trip MetroCards will be provided upon request to participants for travel between the morning and afternoon program sites; please email education@gilderlehrman.org if you require this accommodation.

Please note that the Gilder Lehrman Institute is an approved Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) provider in New York State (sponsor #3406). Additionally, note that the workshop site is not ADA accessible (access to the lecture room is only available via a flight of stairs).
