The Gilder Lehrman Institute invites you to an online professional development Zoom Webinar and Live Q&A session on Wednesday, July 29th, from 2-3:30 PM (EST), funded by the Fred and Mary Koch Foundation. The topic of the webinar is "The History of Race Relations in America: the African-American Experience". Register now to join our panel eminent historians-- Dr. Kellie Carter-Jackson, Dr. Manisha Sinha, and Dr. David Blight-- as they examine the African-American experience from 1492-1877.

This program is exclusive to upper Elementary and Secondary school teachers in Kansas. There are a limited number of $50 stipends that will be given to the first participants who register. Note: To be eligible for the stipend, you must attend the full session. 

Everyone who registers will be sent the Zoom webinar link and instructions in the confirmation email.

All participating teachers are eligible to join the "GLI Study Group" on Wednesday, August 5th from 2pm-3pm EST. The GLI Study Group is an online workshop led by GLI Master Teachers; designed for teachers to digest the lecture content, ask questions, engage with and learn from other teachers, and put pedagogic strategies to practice.
