The Cold War as a Culture War: Visualizing Pop Culture

In partnership with World101 from the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Gilder Lehrman Institute is pleased to invite you to an online professional development workshop for middle and high school teachers. There will be a total of four workshops dealing with various themes in the history of American foreign relations. The topic of this workshop is the Cold War as a culture war and examine the pop culture in both the United States and the Soviet Union. The workshop features a 90-minute lecture followed by a 15-minute Q&A and a 1-hour pedagogy session led by GLI Master Teacher Nate McAlister.
