Jackson, Henry (1747-1809)
Autograph letter signed
Title: to Henry Knox
Apologizes for not writing immediately upon returning from "the Eastward" (the Waldo patent lands in Maine). Was busy procuring supplies and attending to "the Lady [perhaps Rosalie Josephe Bacler de Leval] and Mr De La Roche." Discusses the seaport at Trenton (in Maine) and negotiations for new seaports. Mentions making arrangements to ensure the people in the Waldo patent lands will be equipped for the winter. Describes the purchase of various lands in the region as well as the supplies he might require.
