Title: to Richard Ingoldesby re: petition concerning the expedition to Canada
The Mayor and Aldermen of Albany discuss some reservations regarding the planned expedition to reduce Canada. They recommend recalling the land troops until the fleet arrives from England, which will necessitate postponing the expedition until the Spring. The officials of Albany also recommend repairing and building new fortifications, stationing garrisons at their forts, and keeping a close watch over the Indians who are wooed by the French.
