Bill of exchange for 100 pounds issued to Greene as governor of Rhode Island and payable to Andrew Oliver, treasurer of the Massachusetts Bay Colony during the French and Indian War. A note on the verso signed by Oliver directs payment to David Chesebrough. Another note signed by Chesebrough indicates he received payment from Rhode Island's General Treasurer Thomas Richardson. Another note signed by Rhode Island Governor Stephen Hopkins accepts the payment on behalf of the colony.
