Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Lists the soldiers of Nixon's brigade 4-5 January. The bottom section, created 7 January at King's Ferry, New York, contains a muster roll for Colonel Poor's (possibly Enoch Poor's) militia. Contains muster rolls for the regiments of Colonels Wood, Nixon (possibly Thomas Nixon), Putnam (possibly Rufus Putnam), and Greaton (possibly John Greaton).
