Informs that Mr. Beckman has been searching titles for Alexander Hamilton and since he has not found him, he returned the titles. States that the titles are to be exhibited by Thomas L. Ogden at Hamilton's office at 69 Stone Street. Asks him to make sure it is done this afternoon and advises that Ogden will be staying at home for this purpose. No year is included in the date.

Thomas Ludlow Ogden was a law partner of Hamilton. Hamilton's law office was at 69 Stone Street from 1800 or 1801, it moved to 12 Garden Street in 1803. Rutgers was elected to the NY legislature in 1784 and frequently reelected. He donated money to revive Queen's College in NJ, which was then named after him.
