Letter of recommendation for Richard W. Jeffery from the treasurer of the Richmond Locomotive and Machine Works. "It gives me great pleasure to state I have known Mr. Richard W. Jeffery for the past 15 years, and know him to be sober, intelligent and of the highest charcater." Letterhead reads: "Richmond Locomotive and Machine Works. Locomotive Builders."
