Poem attributed to Daniel Webster docketed to his first wife Grace Fletcher Webster. Includes an envelope with an inscription attributed to Webster's sister-in-law, Harriette Story Paige.

Flying time, & change [applause],
Bear me, unwilling, [text loss] thy face;
Yet, believe me, Lovelier fair,
Yet, believe me, I am there.

Between us, winds a lengthened coast;
Between us, rivers must be crossed;
Between us, mountains rise in air,
Yet, Dearest, trust me, I am there.

I think of thee, at Evenings close;
I dream of thee, in nights repose;
The morn renews my daily care,
But morn still finds me [illegible] there.

Oh, that when other friends [caress] thee
O, that when softest dreams posess thee,
They thoughts, thy dreams, I [ought] but there!
O, [struck: would] that [mere] thought, o there!
wicked me -
