My dear Sister,
It has been some time since I got a letter from you only one from home from Willie since Mothers visit. I hope you had a merry Christmas. It did not seem much like Christmas to me, but I am pretty comfortable now & much better off than many others. The weather has been very wet & I have a bad cold. I wish they would remove the restrictions & allow us to receive boxes of eatables again, but I have no hopes of that at present. I am making you a watch chain & will send it you as soon as I finish it. I sent a permit to Uncle J. for some boots, suppose he has recd. it ere this. Best love to Father, Mother, Uncle George & all the rest & believe me as ever Your Affectionate brother,
Edw. H. Hall
