Promissory note created by Henry Knox for payment of thirty dollars to William Knox by Ephraim Bartlett. Signed by Bartlett and countersigned by Charles Knowles. Docket in the hand of Henry Knox, who has added an autograph endorsement signed on verso: "Sir Pay the within, for money I advanced you in 1777 at Morris Town, to Joseph Peirce Esqr on order H Knox Boston 11th Octr [1790?]."
