At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. Summary of Content: Discusses the observations of Maurice de Saxe on small cannon in his book Mes Réveries. Page two offers descriptions of figures sketched on page five, which are accomplished drawings of rifles and cannon mounts. On pages three and four, Nicola argues the advantages of the weapon he describes.
