Discusses the transportation of supplies from a building at Fishkill being taken down. Writes to inform Pickering that he asked "the officer commanding the fatigue party to see that the lumber was put under the care of a sentry," in case Pickering needed to issue further instructions.

Sir
Yesterday the buildings where were taken down at Fishkill, were loading into Scows to be transported to the station of your artificers at the red house. I desired the officer commanding the fatigue party to see that the lumber was put under the care of a sentry: but now advise [inserted: you] of the matter, as you may have directions to give your artificers concerning them.
