Discusses the transportation of Naval prisoners of war from West Point. States that the 4th Massachusetts regiment is ready to receive the prisoners. Written in the Orderly Office.

Dear Sir
I am directed to inform you that an officer & Party from the 4th Massachusets reg.t will be in readiness to receive the Naval Prisoners of War confined at West Point as soon as it will be convenient for you to send them up- be pleased to Send a list of the Prisoners names with them & direct your Party to march the prisoners to the [Hutts] of the 4th. Massa. Regt. where [illegible] officer will [inserted: be] ready to receive them
I have discharged my Boats Crew & must call on you to [struck: Send] commence the communication we agreed on for transmitting the daily Orders
