Introduces to Knox Doctor Micalies, Surgeon General of the Hessian Troops, son of Chevalier Micalies (Michaelis), who wants to visit West Point.
Christian Frederic Michaelis (1754-1814), surgeon general of Hessian troops, was the son of a famed biblical scholar. Dr. Michaelis was elected to the American Philosophical Society in 1785 and had a noted medical career in Germany.
