Signed by Charles Thomson as Secretary of Congress. Contains two separate sections. In the first, dated 4 March 1785, Congress resolves that the salary for the Secretary at War will be 2,450 dollars per year. The second part, signed by Thomson 8 March 1785, announces the election of Knox as Secretary at War. Bottom portion of the page is missing.
