Discusses transactions relating to the Falmouth lands, a tract of land belonging to Henry Knox's wife's family; they belonged to the estate of Brigadier-General Samuel Waldo, Lucy Knox's grandfather. Samuel Winslow describes negotiations between Isaac Winslow; someone with the initials T.F. (perhaps Thomas Flucker, Lucy's father); Francis Waldo, an uncle of Lucy Knox; and a Mr. Wetmore. Also mentions the price of the lands and the taxes involved.

Samuel and his brother Isaac Winslow (1763-1806) were relations of Knox's wife. They also had a cousin named Isaac Winslow (1743-ca. 1792/3) who was involved with their land negotiations in the Waldo patent. It is unclear which Isaac he is discussing in this letter.
