Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Asks Knox for a "more accurate coppy of the agreement" apparently dealing with people living on the land Vose is managing for Knox in the Waldo patent properties. Also wonders if Knox will allow Captain Hall to assist Vose as an agent, noting that it is difficult for one person alone to do the job. Discusses issues related to farming the land, including procuring farm implements and tools.
