Knox signs in text as "General Knox." Writes that he has done everything in his power to help the baron, and wishes that he could help "every unfortunate person on earth." Notes that he has already contributed more than he can afford on Glasbeech's account, and he cannot do anything further. Docket misidentified the Baron as "Baron Glasbeeck." See GLC02437.04207 and GLC02437.04208 for related documents. Location inferred from date and related documents.

According to Francis B. Heitman's Historical Register of Officers of the Continental Army During the War of the Revolution, Glasbeech was a volunteer aide-de-camp to General Daniel Morgan, and was brevetted captain in the Continental Army 9 March 1781 due to his meritorious service at the Battle of Cowpens.
