Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Document is not signed but appears to be in Knox's handwriting. A list of names of the men who were indicted by the Grand Jury for riots that took place 4 July 1801. Also includes two different lists of "evidences" (possibly witnesses) the first which is a list of names of men who were summoned to court and the second is a list of names of men who actually appeared at court.
