Writes that there is only one vessel preparing to sail for England in the next few days, and that he would like to send some information via this vessel about the land of the ten proprietors. Would like information about the ship that is about to sail, so that he may send a letter on it.

25 March 1803
Sir
There is now but one [vessell] preparing for England (to sail in a few days) and I should be very glad to communicate by her, some intelligence respecting the Muscongus Land - or Land of the Ten proprietors; concerning which I have troubled you with some inquiries. If I could only learn in whose care or possession it now is, where situated and under what circumstances; it would be exceeding grateful to my feelings, as I have promised this information at least - you will I hope pardon my importunity. And believe me with great respect.
