Written from Stillwater, likely in Maine. Addressed to the Governor of Massachusetts and the General Court. Petition, from the majority of the assessors of Stillwater Plantation in Hancock County, describes the boundaries and population of the territory. Given its large size and population, the assessors request that a Justice of the Peace be assigned to their region. Signed by several assessors, including Andrew Webster.
