Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Includes such things as altering a sofa, making of mattress and pillows, various lengths of lace and duck fabric, and various amounts of rope and twine. The total cost or expense comes to £20.3.6 1/2. Docket might be unrelated. It has a list of names with what appears to be payment amounts next to each. This amounts to £181.9.4.
