At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. Summary of Content: Written in Shaw's hand, whose signature is in the body of the document. Countersigned by Ephraim Groves (or Grovey) stating he received payment. Groves noted that he received £3.15 from Shaw for four-and-a-half days of expenses from Lebanon to Valley Forge.
