Background Information: It is unclear whether this letter's author is the Nathanael Greene (1742-1786) who would subsequently become an American General. However, it seems unlikely, as preliminary research suggests the future general ...was in the Rhode Island General Assembly during this period and not working as a clerk in Boston.See More
