"Henri," an artist, sends samples of his work (not present) and asks for the addressee's patronage. He gives his address, and notes he can also do portraits in crayon. Location and date of creation inferred from dates of Henri's presence in Philadelphia, and Knox's rental of a house on the street cited on the address leaf. Henri was a miniature painter from France.
