Written as President. An unusually thankful note.

December 30 - 1887
My dear Mr. Box
Please accept my sincere thanks for the cigars you so kindly and thoughfully sent me for a Chritmas present. They are delicious and I have already enjoyed them very much, and still anticipate great pleasure in their future comsumption. They will furnish a large part of all the pleasure I manage to extract from my daily life which is found in a smoke after dinner in my wife's company. Almost all else is worry and perplexity.
With kind [illegible] to Mr. Box
Yours Sincerely
[illegible]

Henry W. Box Esq
Buffalo
N. 4.
