Dear Patti
I didn't wait till feb 6 to open your gift to thank you for my handsome scarf. I've discovered this winter We now live in a place where such things are needed & appreciated. Thank you very much.
Right at this moment we are having what as a boy in Ill. we always called the Jan. Thaw. For weeks we've looked out on solid white snow cover on the W.H lawn. This morning we looked out on a solid green lawn. It happened over night. Of course I know better than to think this means Spring is here.
We're looking forward to the ranch next month and atleast getting started on the guess house. In short we're home sick
Again thanks & I love you

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction.
