Just as I visualize the most atrocious misery, then they owe me three years of my stipend, I beg you however to please do me a favor, for the love of God, at least something for substance. It gives me great pain to be obligated to take small measures in order to be able to nourish myself, but, you're not aware of my sad situation. I am convinced that it is not the fault of S. A. R., the Regent Prince of Portugal that I received my stipend, but, on the contrary, I think he does not know our indigence.
