Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

George Badcock and Henry Tucker have asked the township's permission to build a grist mill. After examining the records of the township and on consultation with Benjamin Hammond's survey, it is determined that title to the land is clear. Attested as a true copy signed as Clerk of the Township of Dartmouth.
